About us
“BIOTECH FOUNDATION” was set up for promoting Education, Training and Research in Genetics and Biotechnology. Our first dream child named “INSTITUTE OF GENETIC ENGINEERING” (IGE) was born in 1st September in 2003 affiliated to University of Kalyani and opened with under graduate course in Biotechnology. Next year in 2004 we have added Microbiology, Genetics and Molecular Biology under the same University.  

B.Sc and M.Sc in Biotechnology

BSc in Biotechnology

The BSc Biotechnology is a 3 year 6 semester course designed for students with Physics, Chemistry, Biology &/or Mathematics at (10+2) level. From this year the course is CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) as per UGC guideline.

MSc in Biotechnology

Msc Biotechnology is a 2 year, 4 semester PG course, which draws upon a world-wide reputation of high-quality research. This course is designed for students with a strong academic track record in Biological Sciences, Physics, Chemistry etc.

B.Sc and M.Sc in Genetics

BSc in Genetics

B.Sc in Genetics is a 3 years 6 semester course. For admission, students from Science stream with 10+2 (HS exam) or equivalent (ISC, CBSE etc.) exam will be eligible.

MSc in Genetics

M.Sc in Genetics is a 2 years 4 semester course.  The program provides a strong theoretical and practical knowledge of key areas of Genetics and its applications.

B.Sc and M.Sc in Microbiology

BSc in Microbiology

B.Sc in Microbiology is a 3 years 6 semester course. For admission, students from Science stream with 10+2 (HS exam) or equivalent, ISC, CBSE exam will be eligible.

MSc in Microbiology

M.Sc in Microbiology is a 2 years 4 semester course. Microbiology is offered at three levels — UG , PG and PhD. Various universities & Institutions employ microbiologists as teachers & researchers.

B.Sc in Molecular Biology


BSc in Molecular Biology

The BSc in Molecular Biology is a 3 year 6 semester course. For admission, students from Science stream with 10+2 (HS exam) or equivalent, ISC, CBSE exam will be eligible.

BCA - Bachelor in Computer Application

BCA is a 3 year, 6 semester course. Bachelor in computer application or (BCA) is an undergraduate degree course in computer application. The subjects which are very much related to the present IT Industry.

BSC in Medical Laboratory Technology

BBA HM- Bachelor of Business Administration In Hospital Management

B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology is a 3 year undergraduate course, eligibility to which is qualifying 10+2 Level with PCB/M.

The BBA In Hospital Management course offers knowledge and training in management and leadership skills, to prepare them for managerial roles and entrepreneurship.
