B.Sc in Biotechnology...

A three-year Degree Course spanning Six Semesters. Biotechnology is an emerging technology, with immense potential in a developing country like India. The technological gap between advanced nations and India can be narrowed down considerably by the turn of this century and India would be a leader in certain areas of application in Biotechnology.

Genetic Engineering, which transfers genes from one species to another, has greatly enhanced the power of biotechnology. Genetic Engineering facilitates the manufacture of products particularly drugs that cannot be obtained in any other way. It can also be used to create organisms, such as plants resistant top attack by insects, which do not occur in nature. Technique involved in living organism as a means of production; cell or tissue culture; cloning and fermentation; cell fusion
